Madhubani Paintings

Madhubani paintings is an art form from india.Females of region mithila draw on canvas or silk cloth with sharp bamboo sticks using the natural colors(extracted from plants).It started at the time of ramayana.Lord rama married the goddess Sita.At the time of their wedding,king janaka(father of sita),invited artists from mithila.The art form started is known as madhubani or mithila paintings.

Generally Ramayana and mahabharata characters are drawn like krishna,arjuna,rama,sita,etc.Its another form godhana focusses on wedding.Nice drawing are done to purify wedding atmosphere.
